Renounced Ownership

The IMP Vault contract has renounced ownership, meaning no admin can modify core functions or access user funds.

What "Renounced" Means

Ownership renouncement is an irreversible action:

// Before renouncement
owner() => 0x742d35Cc6634C0532925a3b844Bc9e7595f... (admin wallet)

// After renouncement
owner() => 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000 (burn address)

The zero address cannot:

  • Sign transactions

  • Call owner-only functions

  • Be recovered or changed

Why Renounce?

User Protection

  • ❌ No admin can withdraw user funds

  • ❌ No admin can change ROI rates

  • ❌ No admin can modify lock periods

  • ❌ No admin can pause withdrawals maliciously

Trust

  • Eliminates "rug pull" risk

  • Transparent, verifiable on-chain

  • Industry best practice for DeFi

Implications

What This Means for Users

  • Your funds are protected by code, not trust

  • No admin intervention possible on core funds

  • True decentralization

What This Means for Protocol

  • Cannot fix vault bugs after renouncement

  • That's why audits happened BEFORE renouncement

  • Bug bounty program for remaining components

Other Security Measures

Beyond renouncement:

  • 🛡️ CertiK Audit

  • 🔒 Upgradeable proxy for non-core contracts

  • ⏰ Time locks on sensitive operations

  • 👥 Multi-sig for any remaining admin functions
